Leslie Egan Ray, a seasoned financial services professional with more than 20 years of experience, is Director of National Advocacy Programs at TIAA-CREF. Leslie began her career at TIAA-CREF by providing retirement counseling to plan participants. She then assumed responsibility for the training and development of the organization’s client facing staff, including management of the overall training unit. For the past 12 years, Leslie's focus has been on educating and working to meet the needs of TIAA-CREF's institutional clients. In her current role, Leslie is responsible for all aspects of TIAA-CREF's Advisory Council, a group of 30 institutional clients charged with helping the organization best meet the needs of its institutional clients and the individuals they serve. Leslie also works closely with a variety of institutional consortia. A superb communicator, Leslie serves on the ACCESS; Newsletter Editorial Board and is on TIAA-CREF's Corporate Communications Committee.

Leslie earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Dallas and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern Graduate School of Business of New York University. She is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist and a former board member and past president of the New York Metro Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists.
